Petroleum Storage Tank System Insurance Underwriter

R&A Risk Professionals has a full-time opening for a detail-oriented individual with a great attitude and excellent communication skills to fill an Insurance Underwriting position.

R&A Risk Professionals is the Managing General Agent for our parent company PMMIC Insurance, based in Urbandale, Iowa. We provide all administrative, accounting, underwriting, sales and claim services for PMMIC. PMMIC’s primary line of business is pollution liability coverage for petroleum underground storage tanks.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of petroleum industry experience preferred
• Obtain Iowa P&C Producer license and Surplus lines license within 90 days
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

Position Responsibilities:

• Communicate with insureds in reference to all pertinent Petroleum Storage Tank Systems documents related to new and renewal insurance applications
• Ensure a complete and accurate application process
• Contribute to the collaborative team environment by assisting with questions and training
• Maintain a follow up system for completion of information requests by completing outbound communication
• Assist other areas to meet corporate goals

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dependable in attendance and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Successfully complete a background check
