Chief Financial Officer – Growth Minded Finance Leader
Are you a proactive, driven, financial professional with extensive insurance experience who loves working with data and is a problem solver? Are you a calculated risk taker? Do you have precision focus? Looking for a leadership advancement?
This senior executive will be responsible for managing the financial resources of our insurance operations, providing strategic advice to the CEO and Board of Directors. You will work closely with the sales, underwriting and business development departments and interact with department leaders to analyze financial data to develop budgets and long-term projections. You will participate in supply chain decisions, sales, marketing, HR, and technology resource evaluations. Active leadership is required.
Currently the Company Quarterly and Annual Statements are produced by an outside vendor. Tax services are provided by an outside CPA and investments are managed by an outside investment manager. Bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable and payroll are managed internally. All these activities will be under your management.
Based in Urbandale, Iowa, R&A Risk Professionals is the Managing General Agent for our parent company PMMIC Insurance. PMMIC’s primary line of business is pollution liability coverage for petroleum storage tanks. We provide all administrative, accounting, underwriting, sales and claim services for PMMIC. We strive to provide our insureds with an in-depth understanding of their storage tank systems to protect their financial assets. We know tanks!

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance CPA designation, preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP and SAP principles
- Proven experience with insurance regulatory filings
- At least six years of progressive advancement in the insurance industry
- Management experience; Executive Level experience a plus
